News in Brief: RIGT, Cantor, Wagerworks. SkyBet, Media Corp, Neteller

The Responsibility in Gambling Trust received voluntary donations of £3.6m in the financial year ending 31 March 2008, against a target of £3.5m from licensed operators. The target was reached thanks to the generosity of three large high-street betting and gaming companies - Gala Coral, Ladbrokes and William Hill - which contributed sums to make up for the shortfall that would otherwise have occurred. Cantor Gaming has launched its online casino, Cantorcasino.com. The company said the casino would complement its white label service offering and as an affiliate of the global financial services company Cantor Fitzgerald, it has become the first financial services company to move into online gaming. WagerWorks has released an updated version of its Cleopatra slot game. The new game is called Cleopatra II. Sky Bet revenues increased 3% to £35m, compared with £34m in 2007, and according to results released today by parent firm BSkyB, has benefited from the consolidation of 365 Media Group, which it acquired in January 2007. According to the company, Sky Poker "has performed strongly since its launch in February 2007". Media Corp will receive a further GBP625,000 as part of the deferred consideration of the sale of the Casino.co.uk portal in August 2007, thanks to the Group exceeding pre-agreed performance targets. Media Corp chief executive Justin Drummond said: "Part of the sale obligation was to run the portal with the new vendor for a period of six months post disposal and I am pleased to announce that we have exceeded the pre-agreed revenue target by a significant margin." Neteller has announced that it has concluded negotiations with Leben Investment Corporation for the sale of its principal property in Calgary. Neteller said that the Group's subsidiary NT Services Building Corp "signed a revised sale agreement on 30 April 2008".
